About The Position

Clean Harbors is hiring a Forklift Operator in Mason, Michigan. The role involves hands-on loading and unloading of trucks and moving equipment and materials safely between inbound and outbound docks to help improve turnaround time. The operator uses a forklift throughout the facility and supports real-time dock scheduling by moving vehicles within the yard. The position works outdoors in varying weather conditions and has less than 10% travel. It has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
At least 1 year of experience in a similar forklift or industrial warehouse environment.
Valid driver’s license required.
Experience operating Microsoft Office.
Attention to detail, ability to count and read, and time-management skills.
Ability to communicate and work with a team.
Able to frequently lift or carry up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
Able to frequently sit, walk, bend, climb, and use hands and feet for vehicle operation.

Nice To Haves

Forklift certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate a forklift throughout the facility to load, unload, and move barrels, freight, and materials.
Inspect barrels, freight, and materials for damage during loading and unloading.
Use an RF scanner to scan and track materials.
Enter and update inventory and shipment information in Excel and WMS.
Safely load and unload trailers and trucks.
Move and stage materials in the correct storage areas.
Follow safety procedures when handling materials and working around trucks and other equipment.
Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
Operate cars and small and large trucks with automatic and manual transmissions within the yard.
Support movement of vehicles required for real-time dock scheduling.
