About The Position

Under general supervision, the Forklift Operator ensures the safe and accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of food products. The role uses material-handling equipment and radio-frequency equipment to move, store, and prepare products for shipment while meeting production standards and maintaining a clean, orderly work environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Three months of related work experience preferred.

• Ability to adhere to attendance policies and arrive on time for assigned shifts.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently load and unload freight, using appropriate equipment to move products into storage throughout the facility.
• Stack and store merchandise; pick and assemble orders for shipment; check freight for accuracy, damage, and infestation; and label, sort, wrap, pack, or repack products as directed by management.
• Operate material-handling equipment and RF scanners in compliance with OSHA standards and in a manner that promotes safety.
• Meet production standards while maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
• Perform other duties as needed, such as inventory, cleaning, and forklift battery changes, including duties outside normal responsibilities.
