About The Position

The Forklift Operator oversees loading and unloading materials using a hand truck, reach truck, or forklift. The role includes maintaining a clean and safe work environment and identifying discrepancies in received loads compared with the manifest. This position supports warehousing and distribution operations by handling, staging, and processing freight accurately and on time, while following detailed instructions and applicable TSA and OSHA guidelines. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Overtime may be needed, and occasional weekend work is required.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience using an RF scan gun.
Ability to use forklifts, pallet jacks, and banding or shrink-wrap materials.
Ability to read and comprehend work instructions.
Ability to work well with others, including with little supervision.
High attention to detail.
Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
Ability to lift 50 or more pounds unassisted.
Ability to work overtime as needed and occasional weekends.

Nice To Haves

Previous warehouse experience; one year of experience is preferred.
Previous forklift certifications.

Responsibilities

Use manifests to pull routes, stage freight, and assist drivers with loading and unloading trucks.
Perform material-handling duties such as picking, packing, scanning, kitting as applicable, and counting products.
Complete work accurately and on time, including packaging and systems tasks.
Identify and annotate overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D).
Safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
Read and follow detailed instructions in a fast-paced environment.
Maintain a safe and secure work environment in accordance with TSA and OSHA guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned.
