About The Position

DHL Supply Chain is hiring a Forklift Operator to move stock within a warehouse environment and load and unload shipments. The role operates in a team-oriented, fast-paced, safety-focused setting. Work includes case-picking by hand up to 35 pounds for approximately 5% of the day and operating material-handling equipment, including a stand-up forklift, for approximately 95% of the day. The work environment is 34 degrees Fahrenheit.

The schedule is 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Sunday through Tuesday, on the first shift. Pay is $19.75 per hour, with an additional $0.75 for the refrigerated department. Full-time employees may qualify for a monthly performance incentive bonus.

The position requires six months of forklift operation experience, including at least six months operating a stand-up forklift. A forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift-training program within the first 30 days of employment is required. A high school diploma or equivalent and six months of warehouse experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using forklifts or other powered equipment.
• Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring the exact number and types of products are loaded.
• Maintain appropriate inventory records and reports.
• Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards.
• Verify load accuracy, count, stability, and product condition, and report variances as necessary.
• Change equipment batteries or LP tanks and monitor power sources as necessary.
• Keep facility equipment and materials neat, clean, and orderly.
• Assist with physical inventories.
• Complete daily equipment inspections.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
