About The Position

Ascend Staffing is hiring a Forklift Operator in West Valley City, Utah. The role involves operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment, moving and tracking inventory, preparing orders for shipment, and assisting with industrial pump assembly and crate building. The position is a weekday day shift, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with weekends off and overtime available. Pay is $21.00–$23.00 per hour, with weekly pay and direct deposit or debit card payment options. Requirements

Forklift operator experience.
Mechanical assembly experience.
Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Able to pass a background check.
Authorized to work in the United States.
Knowledge of various material-handling equipment is an asset.
Proficient in mathematics.
Strong understanding of OSHA regulations.
High regard for workplace safety.
Current forklift license and certification.
Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment and independently.
Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Operate a forklift or other hand truck.
Use wireless RF scanning equipment to ensure inventory accuracy.
Move materials from the warehouse to workstations, pickup locations, or other locations.
Follow company quality and customer service standards.
Perform cycle counts as required.
Pick, wrap, and stage orders for shipment.
Inspect and maintain forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
Follow and update inventory activity, lists, and records, and log completed tasks.
Identify workplace safety hazards.
Consolidate partial pallets for incoming goods.
Assist with industrial pump assembly and crate building.
