About The Position

Blue Rhino, a Ferrellgas company, is seeking a Seasonal Forklift Operator to inspect and transport propane cylinders for delivery drivers by loading and unloading them with a forklift. The position includes in-house OSHA-certified training and may also involve assisting production shifts with other staffing needs when not operating the forklift. The operator handles materials and products in accordance with safety guidelines and completes required inspections and paperwork.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, understand, and pass any necessary training requirements and exams.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Physically able to lift up to 75 pounds and work in all weather conditions.
• Genuine commitment to providing superior customer service.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, a lawful permanent resident, or otherwise authorized to work in the United States.
• Must not now or in the future require sponsorship for an employment visa.

Nice To Haves

• One or more years of work experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport propane cylinders around the yard using a forklift.
• Handle and maintain the flow of materials and products under safety guidelines.
• Complete and submit log sheets, bills of lading (BOLs), packing slips, and other required paperwork.
• Document forklift inspections before shift startup for mechanical safety and OSHA compliance.
• Inspect the vehicle regularly and notify a supervisor when maintenance is needed.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
• Assist production shifts with other staffing needs when not operating the forklift.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
