About The Position
Assembler/Finishers are responsible for construction and quality of a switchgear production and sub-assemblies. This position requires excellent communication skills, problem solving skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Ability to read tape measures
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical drawings
- Basic computer skills required
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Basic math skills
Responsibilities
- Read, interpret, and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products
- Operate forklift and/or spot for forklift driver
- Utilize handheld and power tools such as screwdrivers and hand-drills
- Work with Quality department to ensure the product meets quality standards
- Keep the work area safe, neat, and clean
- Perform 5S activities and maintain equipment
- Perform work in a safe and healthy manner; ensuring there are no deviations to standard work instructions that could lead to quality, productivity or safety problems
- Identify and communicate ideas to team leaders that support improving the team’s performance and the elimination of waste
- Participate in process improvement activities
- Support other assembly teams when required
- Display professional conduct with customers and coworkers
- Attend training sessions as needed or required
