About The Position
The City of Chandler Fire Department is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as the Fire Marshal. The position is scheduled to work 5 days, 8 hours. The City of Chandler Fire Department is a progressive, internationally accredited organization with an ISO Class 1 rating and a distinguished history of service to the community. City charter authorizes the Department to mitigate all hazards, including fire suppression, emergency medical services (EMS), hazardous materials response, technical rescue, and crisis intervention. In support of those functions, the Fire Department staffs a fire prevention division, EMS and training divisions, mechanical maintenance facility, community preparedness office, and Department administration. Our new team member will have a passion for customer service, teamwork, and collaboration. We are looking for someone who will manage fire prevention, fire plan review and community education in order to protect the lives and properties of the residents of the City.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's Degree in Fire Science or Business Management
- 5 years of experience in fire prevention, inspection and investigation work
- At least 3 years of supervisory experience
- ICC Fire Inspector Level I and II at time of hire or promotion
- Must meet the qualifications to wear a tight fitting respirator by passing a medical evaluation test in accordance with CFR 1910.134 by hire date and must maintain Certification
- A valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work
