Family Physician with Expertise in Dermatology for Downtown Vancouver

About The Position
We are seeking a Family Physician with a Special Interest in Dermatology to join our dynamic team in Vancouver, British Columbia. This full-time, 5-day per week position is based at our clinic's new, prime location on the seawall in Coal Harbour, Downtown Vancouver. While prior dermatology training or experience is preferred, training opportunities are available for interested candidates. The role involves providing comprehensive patient care, including skin assessments, treatment planning, and follow-up care, while also contributing to the coaching of the nursing team and adhering to company policies. The physician will also collaborate with the marketing team to enhance social media presence and utilize strong communication skills to foster relationships with patients and colleagues.
Requirements
- Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) License
- Diploma in Dermatology (e.g., Cardiff Diploma in Practical Dermatology) or equivalent postgraduate dermatology training required
- A strong passion for the cosmetic dermatology field
Nice To Haves
- Certifications for lasers, Botox, and/or dermal filler an asset, but not required
- Prior experience in the cosmetic and aesthetic medicine industry an asset, but not required
- Newer graduates welcome to apply
Responsibilities
- Provide professional patient care at all times and provide a friendly and inviting environment for patients
- Conduct patient skin assessment, treatment planning and implementation, evaluation of treatments for effective outcomes
- Provide consult notes to referring family physicians for new patients
- Perform follow-up care for existing patients and/or refer to an internal general practitioner for continuation of care
- Assist with coaching nursing team to be able to provide effective patient care
- Participate in training and education opportunities provided by the company
- Adhere to company policies and protocols
- Work with marketing team to build and promote personal social media presence
- Utilize exceptional communication skills to build relationships with both patients and employees
