About The Position
Mastronardi Produce is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to join its IT team at the corporate office in Livonia, Michigan. The role supports and improves infrastructure across an Azure-based datacenter, physical site servers, and a large multi-site network. The engineer will work hands-on with firewalls, switching, wireless, servers, backups, storage, and warehouse mobility technology, taking ownership of work and independently executing projects. The position supports enterprise networking, on-premises systems, Azure and hybrid cloud infrastructure, backup and disaster recovery, and infrastructure security. It also leads infrastructure projects and coordinates with vendors, construction teams, contractors, and external partners. The role maintains technical documentation, follows change-management and security processes, and participates in an on-call rotation supporting 24/7 operations. The work involves multi-site greenhouse and warehouse operations and requires travel to U.S. and Canadian locations; a valid passport is required. Requirements
- 3–5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, network engineering, or a similar role.
- Strong technical competency in routing, switching, VLANs, wireless, firewalls, VPN, and SD-WAN.
- Strong technical competency in Windows Server, VMware/Hyper-V, Active Directory, and DNS/DHCP.
- Experience troubleshooting hybrid on-premises and cloud environments.
- Experience supporting Azure infrastructure, including VMs, VNets, identity, and storage.
- Ability to manage and execute technical projects with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with operations, leadership, and vendors.
- Ability to work in a fast-moving, multi-site environment with shifting priorities.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills with a collaborative, humble approach.
- Proactive, solutions-driven mindset, with the ability to anticipate issues and take initiative.
- Experience in a warehouse, greenhouse, manufacturing, or other always-on operational environment.
- Ability to travel to U.S. and Canadian locations; a valid passport is required.

Responsibilities
- Support and maintain multi-site enterprise network infrastructure, including Fortinet firewalls, Cisco switching and wireless, and VeloCloud/Arista SD-WAN.
- Troubleshoot complex LAN/WAN, VPN, routing, segmentation, DNS/DHCP, and wireless issues.
- Maintain network reliability, performance, and connectivity between sites and cloud resources.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Windows servers, VMware/Hyper-V environments, and storage systems.
- Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
- Support on-site server hardware and maintain stable local compute environments.
- Support Azure infrastructure, including Azure AD/Entra ID, Azure VMs, VNets, routing, and hybrid identity.
- Troubleshoot connectivity and integration between Azure and on-premises systems.
- Manage and monitor backup and recovery operations.
- Support disaster recovery planning, testing, and ongoing improvements.
- Implement infrastructure security best practices across on-premises and cloud environments.
- Support privileged access, credentials, and identity-related security controls.
- Lead infrastructure projects from planning through completion, including timelines, communication, technical execution, and vendor coordination.
- Coordinate with construction teams, contractors, and external partners on expansions, remodels, and new site builds.
- Evaluate technologies and recommend solutions aligned with operational needs.
- Maintain accurate configuration, diagram, process, and procedure documentation using IT Glue.
- Follow change-management, operational, and security processes.
- Participate in the on-call rotation to support 24/7 operations and escalated issues.
