Requirements

  • Currently registered by the Board of Registration in Nursing for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • BLS is a requirement for every RN unless an advance certification is current (ex ACLS, PALS, NRP).
  • Strong interpersonal skills are required to gather information, build relationships that support collaborative work in the department and across the organization while providing exceptional service to patients.

Nice To Haves

  • BSN.
  • GI certification.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes the nursing process for the delivery and management of patient’s care from admission to discharge, appropriate to the developmental age and cultural diversity of the patient population.
  • Performs patient assessment/reassessment according to nursing standards.
  • Develops and coordinates individual plan of care including discharge planning and teaching.
  • Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluates nursing care within assigned clinical setting.
  • Delegates appropriately to others in accordance with job description and competency level.
