About The Position

The Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN) delivers high-quality care in the Endoscopy/GI Lab, performing and assisting with GI-related procedures while supporting a safe and efficient environment for patients. The role includes supporting patients throughout the procedural process and collaborating with the medical team. The unit has six procedural suites and averages more than 30 cases per day.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, with shifts of 6:30 AM–2:30 PM or 6:30 AM–4:30 PM. Shifts are 8 to 10 hours, with 40 hours guaranteed per week. The role includes weekday and weekend call rotations, with a 30-minute response time. New hires receive one week of department-specific orientation. Scrub colors are royal blue or navy blue.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in an Endoscopy or similar setting.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Working knowledge of GI-related procedures and standards of care.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for and assist with GI-related procedures, including colonoscopy, EGD, esophageal dilation, ERCP, EUS, food bolus removal, and management of GI bleeding.
• Maintain a safe and sterile environment and implement best practices in patient care.
• Participate in weekday and weekend on-call rotations.
• Collaborate with the medical team; a charge nurse takes an assignment during each shift.
• Support patient needs throughout the entire procedural process.
