About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials (50+ lbs) and work in confined spaces or at heights
• Strong work ethic and reliability

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in structured cabling, electrical, or general construction is an asset
• Working at Heights, WHMIS, and other safety certifications preferred (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and cable layouts is a plus
• Valid G-class driver’s license and access to transportation is an asset
• Willingness to work early shifts, overtime, or weekends as required by project schedules

Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation of structured cabling systems, including fiber optic cable
• Pull, route, label, and terminate cable in accordance with project specifications and industry standards
• Install cable trays, conduit, J-hooks, and other support systems
• Set up telecommunications closets, racks, patch panels, and related hardware
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and wear proper PPE at all times
• Work collaboratively with technicians, electricians, and site supervisors
• Use hand tools and basic power tools (e.g., drills, fish tape, ladders, etc.)
• Perform daily job site clean-up and material organization
• Load and unload tools, equipment, and materials
• Travel to different job sites throughout the GTA as needed
