About The Position

A well-established company is launching a new plumbing division and is seeking 6 to 8 licensed Journeyman Plumbers with expertise in commercial plumbing systems and multi-residential buildings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in large-scale plumbing installations, renovations, and maintenance projects, with a thorough understanding of New Hampshire plumbing codes and safety regulations. We are looking for a self-motivated professional who requires minimal supervision and takes initiative on the job. This is an excellent opportunity for driven individuals to grow within a newly formed department, with significant potential for advancement across the company.

Requirements

  • Valid NH Journeyman Plumber license required.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in commercial plumbing and multi-residential projects.
  • Familiarity with high-volume water systems, backflow prevention, and commercial-grade fixtures.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints and mechanical drawings.
  • Skilled in pipe fitting, soldering, brazing, and use of commercial plumbing tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Able to lift 50+ lbs, work in confined spaces, and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Willingness to travel to job site locations as needed by the company.

Nice To Haves

  • NH Gas fitter license preferred but not required.
  • OSHA 10 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Install and maintain plumbing systems in commercial buildings, apartment complexes, and mixed-use developments.
  • Handle plumbing for multi-unit dwellings including water distribution, waste systems, and fixture installations.
  • Interpret blueprints and schematics to plan and execute plumbing layouts for large-scale projects.
  • Ensure all work meets NH state plumbing codes and local building regulations.
  • Install water heaters, boilers, pumps, and other commercial-grade plumbing equipment.
  • Train and assist with apprentices who are continuing to develop skills by providing and displaying great leadership skills and craftsmanship of the trade.
  • Diagnose and repair issues in complex plumbing systems, including high-capacity water and waste lines.
  • Work alongside general contractors, HVAC technicians, and electricians on integrated building systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and inspections passed.
