About The Position

IPS is seeking a dynamic Field Service Coordinator to join their team. This role serves as the central hub connecting customers, technicians, and internal teams, responsible for scheduling service calls, coordinating resources, solving problems in real time, and ensuring every job runs smoothly from start to finish. The role involves working alongside technicians, leveraging cutting-edge tools and systems to deliver seamless service experiences. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, customer-focused, and energized by making things happen behind the scenes.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience operating a vehicle with a valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong PC and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of popular construction project management software.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with administrative staff, clients, vendors, subcontractors, and field technicians.
  • Excels at organization, time-management, problem-solving, critical thinking, attention to detail and budgeting.
  • Willingness to confidently submit to the background and drug screening process.
  • Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the execution and planning of the company’s electrical and construction projects.
  • Effectively interface with fellow employees, vendors, engineers, and customers of varying backgrounds to efficiently complete assigned projects.
  • Develop milestones in line with customer requirements, company resources and project goals.
  • Generate and submit regular project progress reports to both internal and external customers.
  • Identify critical path items to ensure all requisitions for all necessary supplies, tools, and equipment have been submitted to purchasing in a manner consistent with project goals.
  • Work with engineering to ensure all project drawings are available on time to support the project.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure necessary material and resources are available on time to support the project.
  • Develop and implement plans for project risk mitigation as required.
  • Regularly collaborate with engineers, electricians, customers, and other technicians.
  • Use scheduling software (Microsoft Project) to update schedules, track progress, and document project progression.
  • Contribute interdepartmentally for project bids and assist with identifying potential material, equipment, and/or labor.
  • Assist with making reservations for out-of-town work and coordinating vehicles for transportation.
  • Issue purchase orders as necessary for any equipment needed and create purchase requisitions for material to be ordered for each project.
  • Submit all necessary RFIs and Submittals to customers and project engineer as needed.
