The electroneurodiagnostic Technologist performs electroneurodiagnostic procedures using established protocols and procedures in a clinical lab, inpatient, and epilepsy unit setting. Modalities include EEG, AEEG, EMU, Wada Testing, EP, NCV testing, ERG and IOM. Training on modalities will take place on the job and be provided by a Registered Electroencephalographic and Evoke Technologist (ABRET) registry. The role involves performing routine and complex studies, understanding technical standards, scope of practice, department and health system policies, and safety and service standards. A complete understanding of neurodiagnostic software, instrumentation, and ancillary patient care equipment is also required.
