About The Position

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of educational program for EEG technicians preferred.
  • 2 yrs experience as an EEG technician preferred
  • Associate Degree in Electroneurodiagnostic technology from a school accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs preferred
  • Certification from the American Board of Registered Electroencephalographic Technologies (ABRET) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Performs EEGs, ambulatory EEGs, and multiple sleep latency EEGs.
  • Responsible for recording electrical activity of the patient's brain to study epilepsy, convulsive disorders and localizing lesions in the cerebrum.
  • Performs clerical duties.
  • Participates in performance improvement and continuous quality (CQI) improvement activities.
