About The Position
The EEG Tech works in the Electromyography department at Resurrection Medical Center. The role performs EEGs, ambulatory EEGs, and multiple sleep latency EEGs, recording electrical activity in patients’ brains to study epilepsy and convulsive disorders and to localize lesions in the cerebrum. The position also includes clerical duties and participation in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities. This is a per diem, as-needed position with a day shift.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintained thereafter.
- Two years of experience as an EEG technician.
Nice To Haves
- Completion of an educational program for EEG technicians.
- Associate degree in Electroneurodiagnostic Technology from a school accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs.
- Certification from the American Board of Registered Electroencephalographic Technologies (ABRET).
