About The Position
The EEG/Neurodiagnostic Tech I performs routine diagnostic EEGs, evoked potentials, and long-term epilepsy monitoring recordings under the supervision of the manager. The role works across multiple MultiCare Health System locations and requires the employee to provide their own transportation. Strong customer service and communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality patient care are essential. Internal contacts are within the work group and may include staff from supporting departments. External contacts include physicians, nurses, patients, patient families, and caregivers.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited NDT Program or certification of completion from an ABRET Program; or an associate’s degree in any field plus one year of clinical EEG experience; or Registered Polysomnographic Technologist.
- Must obtain ABRET certification within 18 months of hire.
- Candidates with no experience may be considered if they will obtain ABRET certification within five years of hire.
- BLS certification.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine diagnostic EEG recordings.

- Perform long-term epilepsy monitoring recordings.
- Work at multiple MHS locations, using the employee’s own transportation.
- Provide quality patient care and communicate with physicians, nurses, patients, families, caregivers, and supporting staff.
