About The Position

The EEG Tech functions as a resource for physicians and their staff, family members, and hospital staff. The role prepares patients and performs Electroencephalograms, Ambulatory EEGs, BAERs, VEPs, and other tests within the technician’s scope of practice. The EEG Tech provides appropriate care to the patient populations served, delivers compassionate and holistic care while supporting patient rights and dignity, and demonstrates knowledge of departmental equipment and procedures. This position is with TriStar Centennial Medical Center.

Requirements

• Obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
• Ability to work on a PRN basis.

Nice To Haves

• National ABRET credentials for REEGT preferred.
• Completion of an ABRET program preferred.
• One year of experience as an EEG Tech preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and perform Electroencephalograms, Ambulatory EEGs, BAERs, VEPs, and other tests within scope of practice.
• Provide appropriate care for patient populations served in the department.
• Deliver compassionate, holistic care while supporting patients’ rights and dignity.
• Demonstrate knowledge of departmental equipment and procedures.
• Operate EEG, EMG, and Evoked Potential equipment.
• Maintain patient files.
• Reconcile procedure and supply charges.
• Serve as a resource for physicians and their staff, family members, and hospital staff.
