About The Position

Requirements

  • Active Ohio RN license (unencumbered)
  • 1+ year clinical experience
  • Strong clinical and independent decision-making skills
  • BLS/CPR certified
  • TB clearance
  • Reliable transportation
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with patient mobility
  • Up-to-date vaccinations (COVID-19, Flu, Hep B)

Responsibilities

  • Participate in hands-on Trach & Vent Care Training
  • Practice proper airway management and ventilator support
  • Apply infection control and patient safety protocols
  • Monitor progress and actively engage in learning
  • Maintain accurate documentation of skills and competencies
  • Follow clinical guidance to ensure safe care delivery
  • Communicate effectively with trainers and peers
  • Adhere to all safety, hygiene, and clinical standards
  • Provide skilled trach and ventilator care within RN scope of practice
  • Follow and implement individualized care plans using clinical judgment
  • Monitor patient condition and report changes to the Director of Nursing
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation
  • Follow agency protocols, safety standards, and HIPAA compliance
  • Educate patients and families on trach and ventilator care and safety
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development
