About The Position

The Director of Health Services provides administrative and overall managerial authority for all functions of the Assisted Living Nursing Department, including care delivery activities and training. The role calls for resident-focused nursing leadership and a commitment to making a difference in the lives of older adults. The position is responsible for maintaining clinical competency through the application of nursing knowledge and skills, leadership, and communication. The Director uses the nursing process to assess, plan, and implement care; organizes workflow and priorities to meet residents’ care needs; and applies continuous quality improvement and problem-solving practices.

Requirements

Be an LPN or RN, graduate of an accredited school of nursing, and currently licensed to practice nursing in Tennessee.
Have professional experience in geriatrics, nursing administration, and related areas.
Demonstrate leadership and supervisory skills in nursing administration, nursing practice, rehabilitation, and partner relations management.
Have excellent communication skills.
Be dependable and flexible, caring and compassionate, positive, and a team player.
Have a passion for serving the geriatric population.

Nice To Haves

Assisted Living experience is preferred but not required.
Prior experience as a Director is preferred but not required.
