About The Position
The Director of Nursing-AL leads, directs, analyzes, staffs, and evaluates nursing services and supervises department team members. The role provides administrative and clinical leadership to nursing staff to promote high-quality care, manages nursing department resources and budget, and ensures regulatory compliance. The Director of Nursing-AL may assume leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Administrator/Housing Director. Requirements
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse in good standing.
- Ability to make independent decisions and prioritize duties.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
Responsibilities
- Lead, direct, analyze, staff, and evaluate nursing services and supervise department team members.
- Provide administrative and clinical leadership for nursing staff to promote the delivery of high-quality care.
- Develop, revise, monitor, and implement the department budget to promote appropriate resources.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate the nursing department while meeting regulatory compliance requirements.
- Serve as a nursing liaison with internal and external groups, residents and families, the general public, and other health care providers.
- Assume leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Administrator/Housing Director.
