About The Position

The Director of Nursing (DON) plans, directs, organizes, and evaluates nursing services to meet residents’ total needs. The role ensures efficient operation of the health facility in cooperation with other departments and in compliance with state and federal regulations. Care is provided in accordance with the organization’s “Philosophy for person-directed Care.” The position is performed under limited supervision. Salary ranges from $125,000 to $160,000, depending on experience.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited licensed nursing program (RN).
• Current RN license.
• Current BLS certification.
• A minimum of 3–5 years of professional managerial experience in a related field.
• Clinical observation and assessment skills.
• Proficient computer skills to complete documentation, review electronic health records, and communicate with team members.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science degree; a master’s degree is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and related professional experience.
