About The Position

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team at Camp Sayahh, a proud part of the Passion Dental Group. Camp Sayahh at Cochrane Kids Dental Care is designed with kids in mind, creating a fun, comforting experience that helps children feel excited about coming to the dentist. From a camper your child can explore and play in, to our cozy, quiet-time treehouse, every part of our space is built to make families feel relaxed, welcomed, and at ease from the moment they walk through the door.

Requirements

  • Licensed Certified Dental Assistant in good standing with the CADA.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Certification as a Level I or Level II Dental Assistant (as recognized in Alberta).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills—you’re as good at explaining care as you are at providing it.
  • Excellent multitasking and organizational skills, with the ability to manage a busy schedule efficiently.
  • A collaborative spirit and the ability to work with multiple dentists long-term.
  • Comfort with dental software systems and Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience is a bonus.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as a Dental Assistant (preferred), though new grads are welcome to apply.
  • Pediatric experience is considered a strong asset.
  • Orthodontic module and/or scaling module are valuable assets, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the dentist chairside during procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms following strict infection control protocols.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-treatment care, and dental procedures.
  • Take and develop X-rays (if certified) and maintain accurate patient records.
  • Support front desk operations as needed, including scheduling and patient communication.
  • Provide compassionate, confident care to children of all ages and abilities, ensuring a positive and supportive dental experience.
