About The Position

The Dental Assistant supports the dentist during a variety of dental procedures and helps provide “Best in Class” care to patients. The role is suited to an experienced assistant or someone motivated to learn more about the dental industry. It calls for empathy, patience, quick thinking, professionalism, and a desire to help others. The Dental Assistant prepares exam rooms and instruments, assists during procedures, takes and processes X-rays, performs assigned laboratory tasks, and helps with patient scheduling, education, records, payments, and general practice administration. The position is based at White Settlement Family Dentistry.

Nice To Haves

1–2 years of Dental Assisting experience preferred.
Knowledge of general mouth anatomy and dental terminology.
Understanding of crowns, fillings, extractions, root canals, and implants.

Responsibilities

Prepare exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure necessary equipment is ready for dentists.
Assist dentists during procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating their needs.
Take and process patient X-rays.
Perform laboratory tasks as instructed.
Greet patients and schedule appointments.
Advise patients on recommended oral hygiene and provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures.
Handle general administrative and other duties to maintain the dental practice.
