About The Position

East Liberty Family Health Care Center is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to join its clinical support team. The Dental Assistant works with the dentist and other dental team members to provide quality, efficient dental treatment following established practices and protocols. The role requires reporting to the Wilkinsburg, East Liberty, and Lincoln-Lemington locations.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
State of Pennsylvania certification in radiology.
At least 2 years of experience.
Ability to maintain a superior chairside manner in a fast-paced clinic.
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to prioritize and multitask.
Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Reliable transportation and ability to report to the Wilkinsburg, East Liberty, and Lincoln-Lemington locations.

Nice To Haves

Graduation from an accredited dental assisting program.

Responsibilities

Serve as chairside assistant for the dentist or other dental team members.
Prepare the dental operatory before treatment and disinfect it and dental instruments after treatment according to established OSHA and CDC infection control guidelines.
Use effective four-handed dentistry techniques to support safe, efficient dental treatment and patient management.
Expose and process dental radiographs for diagnosis and treatment planning in accordance with state guidelines.
Prepare laboratory cases and fabricate dental impressions, models, and appliances.
Provide patients with post-operative and oral hygiene instructions.
Manage the dentist's schedule to help ensure patients receive prompt, efficient dental treatment.
Maintain and monitor dental equipment.
