Dental Assistant
About The Position
The Dental Assistant supports dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; and performing procedures in compliance with Nevada dental standards. This is a part-time position working three days a week. CHOICE Healthcare Services’ mission is to provide everyone access to the healthcare they need. Requirements
- Nevada X-Ray certification or affidavit.
- BLS certification.
- 4-hour Infection Control certification.
Nice To Haves
- Certification from a dental college, or three to six months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist the doctor during procedures.
- Take x-rays.
- Take IO's.
- Assist in prophylaxis cleaning of teeth.
- Instruct patients on oral hygiene.
- Chart cavities and teeth with the doctor.
- Sterilize instruments.
- Set up, break down, and prepare rooms for treatment and hygiene.
- Chart the patient's treatment and treatment plan with the doctor.
