About The Position
The Dental Center of South Bend (Adult Care) is seeking an experienced, dependable, patient-focused Dental Assistant to support dentists and the clinical team. The role involves assisting with procedures, maintaining a clean and organized treatment environment, and helping patients feel comfortable throughout their visits. The position is located at 919 E. Jefferson Blvd., Suite 100, South Bend, IN 46617. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, and Friday, 8:00 AM–2:00 PM.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of hands-on dental assisting experience.
- Current X-ray license.
- Strong communication and patient care skills.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and infection control procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Nice To Haves
- Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures and treatments.
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and equipment.
- Take dental X-rays as needed.
- Maintain proper sterilization and infection control protocols.
- Help patients feel comfortable and informed throughout their appointments.
- Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
- Work closely with the dental team to support efficient office operations.
