About The Position

Requirements

• University degree in IT combined with relevant IT professional experience of at least 10 years
• Minimum 6 years in modelling tools (e.g. UML)
• Minimum 5 years of experience with RDBMS
• Experience in database design and model (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MsSQL)
• Experience in Database Administration, Tuning, Management and Security
• Excellent knowledge of application development environments
• Experience in database backup and restore strategy using full database backup/restore and transaction log backup/restore
• Experience in active/active and active/passive clustering
• Experience with high-availability strategies (includes log shipping, DB mirroring, replication and SRDF) and experience in Disaster Recovery tests
• Experience in database monitoring, troubleshooting, performance tuning, maintenance and auditing configuration
• Good knowledge of the design and development of web and multi-tiers Internet applications
• Experience in writing technical documentation
• Excellent command of the English language

Nice To Haves

• Understanding of Active Directory in the context of database security and windows scripting is preferred
• Certification in Postgres will be an asset

Responsibilities

• Responsible for providing technical support for the database environment including overseeing the development and organization of the databases
