About The Position

As a data scientist, you’re excited at the prospect of unlocking the secrets held by a data set, and you’re fascinated by the possibilities presented by IoT, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. Across private and public sectors—from fraud detection to cancer research to national intelligence—we need you to help find the answers in the data. On our team, you’ll use your analytical skills and data science knowledge to create real-world impact. You’ll work closely with your clients to understand their questions and needs, and then dig into their data-rich environments to find the pieces of their information puzzle. You'll be responsible for developing data products by sourcing data from authoritative sources, developing visual narratives of the data, and briefing data products to senior leaders at the DoW. You will work with a cross-discipline team to provide critical analytics to enable successful execution of IT portfolio management. Work with us as we use data science for good. Join us. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with data science or analytics
  • Experience with the DoW
  • Experience with Databricks, Tableau, SQL, Python, or Qlik
  • Experience working within the WDP, including designing and maintaining dashboards, developing metrics, and ingesting, cleaning, transforming and loading data into WDP
  • Experience presenting data products to DoW senior leadership
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience with Machine Learning, AI or NLP
  • Experience with GitLab
  • Ability to translate complex data analytics methodologies to non-technical audiences
  • Ability to pay strict attention to detail
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Possession of excellent organization skills
