About The Position

The Senior Manager, Analytics Engineering and Data Strategy is part of the Workforce Strategy team within Technology Business Enablement. The role establishes future-ready workforce data foundations that support analytics, AI, reporting, and intelligent decision-making across Enterprise Technology Services. It combines business strategy, analytics engineering, data architecture, and data-product development to turn complex business and metric needs into trusted, scalable, reusable data capabilities. The role takes complex and sometimes ambiguous business and data problems from discovery through architecture, engineering, adoption, and ongoing ownership. It works across business, data engineering, architecture, governance, analytics, and technology teams to determine how data should be sourced, modeled, transformed, governed, and reused across workforce use cases. The position also advances modern analytics engineering practices and standards to improve data reliability, quality, maintainability, and delivery speed. The Workforce Strategy team advises senior technology leadership on aligning the technology workforce with enterprise needs, including talent availability, global cost structure, workforce planning, organizational design, and location strategy. It collaborates with enterprise partners to provide forward-looking, data-driven insights that support coordinated decisions and long-term business outcomes. American Express offers competitive base salaries and bonus incentives, retirement savings plan matching, financial coaching, insurance and wellness support, paid parental leave, flexible work arrangements depending on role and business need, and career development and training opportunities. The role may be onsite, hybrid, or fully virtual depending on role and business needs.
