HR Data Analyst

About The Position

In this role, you will collect, structure, analyze and report on HR data to provide timely information that assists in making data-driven decisions related to the workforce. You will provide insights, create meaningful visualizations, and equip the bank to leverage self-service reporting.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of data scripting concepts and functions
  • Knowledge of system report writer software (e.g., Cognos, Power BI, Tableau)
  • Working knowledge of statistical analysis and mathematical formulas
  • Working knowledge of other functional areas of HR
  • Ability to demonstrate basic business acumen
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, including presentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to demonstrate effective critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, manage multiple priorities, organize work, produce accurate work efficiently, and meet exacting deadlines
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility in a dynamic work environment
  • Ability to demonstrate willingness to continuously learn, embrace, and incorporate emerging trends into HR data analytics and reporting
  • Skill in using computer and Microsoft Office products (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and other HCM technology
  • Advanced skill in Excel and financial and statistical software analysis
  • Bachelor’s degree in data or business analytics, data science, mathematics, statistics, computer sciences, business or related field, or commensurate work experience, required
  • 2+ years’ experience as a data analyst, or related role, required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with database software applications such as SQL, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Identifies and analyzes various workforce metrics to provide meaningful information and insights to HR teams and bank leadership.
  • Creates, maintains, and supports a variety of reports and dashboards to meet department and bank needs, including board/executive level reporting; ensures quality presentation of materials.
  • Completes compliance reporting in accordance with federal regulatory requirements and bank guidelines.
  • Audits HR data analyses for self and others to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Performs related ad-hoc tasks and projects as requested.
  • Participates in the implementation and monitoring of HRIS modules.
  • Collaborates with HRIS vendor customer support in relation to reporting features and updates.
  • Establishes and maintains current documentation and standard operating procedures.
  • Assists in developing and delivering training related to HR reporting access and utilization.
  • Produces accurate, thorough, and timely work, while meeting commitments and following policies and procedures.
