This job is responsible for handling moderately complex operations processes related to credit disputes, escalations and tax reporting. Key responsibilities include analysis, research, reconciliation, reporting data validation and resolution of issues and identified customer requests which may carry high levels of risk within enterprise risk categories. Job expectations include handling moderately complex transaction processing, reconciliation, and resolution of research requests to clients, consumer reporting agencies or taxing authorities, consulting with management for support. Summary of our Job Description: Consumer Wealth Tax Operations, Data, Reporting & Operations Management (DROM), is responsible for multiple tax related functions to support Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and State regulatory required tax reporting and withholding payments, on behalf of consumer and wealth clients within Merrill, Private Bank, Retirement & Personal Wealth Solutions and Investment Solutions Group. The Tax Operations Payment, Filings & Solicitation Team is responsible for the daily reconciliation and tax withholding payment remittances to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and States for Retirement, Retail and Non-Resident accounts, ensuring the accurate and timely payment on behalf of multiple legal entities. The Associate will handle these payments as well as address withholding inquiries, processing tax withholding reversals and manual withholding adjustments to be in compliance with regulatory requirements. The Associate will also assist with tax remediations or any other team initiatives as needed working within and outside the team. This position will require overtime during tax season.
