About The Position
As a Data Analyst within Apex Tax & Cost Basis, you will be responsible for analyzing data processes, solving complex problems, documenting procedures, ensuring data quality, and contributing to the improvement and automation of workflows. You will play a critical role in enhancing the team's efficiency and delivering data-driven insights.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in data analysis.
- Advanced SQL skills.
- Exceptional analytical skills.
- Detail-oriented problem solver.
- Ability to adapt on-the-fly in a rapidly changing environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to think outside the box.
- Understanding of the financial services industry, particularly cost basis and tax reporting.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with APIs and Claude AI is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Utilize advanced SQL and Claude AI skills to support the Tax & Cost Basis Operation teams.
- Evaluate data flows to identify areas for improvement and assist in the development and implementation of solutions.
- Ensure that solutions align with business needs and requirements.
- Analyze data trends and prepare reports with actionable recommendations for management.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance reporting to measure performance and support business decisions.
- Conduct software and data quality testing, ensuring end-to-end processes achieve the desired outcomes.
- Update and implement written procedures for operational tasks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Operations, and Development) to address data-related needs.
- Contribute to the development of automated workflows to streamline processes and reduce manual interventions.
