About The Position
Enterprise Mobility's Corporate Legal Group is hiring a Corporate Counsel to support its Information Technology and Data Management & Compliance functions. The role provides practical, business-focused legal advice on technology transactions, software licensing, cloud services, strategic technology initiatives, and data management and compliance. The attorney will advise on complex technology and SaaS agreements and organizational data matters, helping balance legal compliance, business objectives, and innovation while managing legal, regulatory, and operational risks. The position partners with business leaders, technology teams, procurement professionals, privacy and information security stakeholders, and Legal Group colleagues. It supports responsible, secure, and strategic data use, including privacy and cybersecurity, and addresses legal and regulatory issues arising from emerging technologies. The attorney will work with Enterprise Mobility’s global legislative affairs team on technology, privacy, and cybersecurity issues and collaborate with legal and business leaders across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Europe. The role monitors evolving laws and regulations affecting technology, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, data compliance, privacy, and digital operations, and provides practical guidance for informed business decisions. This position is based at Enterprise Mobility’s Global Headquarters in Clayton, Missouri, with an in-office schedule. Requirements
- Seven or more years of legal experience in a business law firm or corporate law department, with a proven record of professional excellence and achievement.
- Demonstrated experience drafting, negotiating, and advising on technology agreements, including SaaS, software licensing, cloud service, and data-related contracts.
- Understanding of data governance principles and applicable regulatory compliance frameworks.
- Ability to partner with business stakeholders and provide practical, business-focused, risk-based legal advice.
- Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Admission to at least one state Bar in the United States.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship now or in the future.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted legal advisor on technology, data management, compliance, privacy, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on technology- and data-related agreements, including SaaS, software licensing, cloud services, data processing, telecommunications, and other commercial technology contracts.
- Partner with Information Technology teams on the acquisition, implementation, and management of technology solutions and vendor relationships.
- Counsel business leaders on data-use practices, compliance obligations, and data-related risk management.
- Identify emerging legal and regulatory developments affecting technology, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and data matters, and provide practical guidance to mitigate risk.
- Collaborate with Information Technology, Information Security, Privacy, Digital Product, Supply Chain, and other business partners to support organizational objectives.
- Develop and deliver legal guidance, policies, training, and best practices related to technology transactions, cybersecurity, and data matters.
- Exercise sound legal and business judgment to evaluate risks, support innovation, and protect company interests.
- Work closely with the global legislative affairs team on technology, privacy, and cybersecurity issues.
- Collaborate with legal and business leaders across multiple jurisdictions, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Europe.
