About The Position
Lathrop R-II Schools is taking applications for a head cook position in the high school building for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. The Head Cook is responsible for preparing and serving food items to students and/or school personnel in an efficient manner, and maintaining the food service facilities in safe and sanitary condition.
Requirements
- Ability to push/pull, lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
- Must pass a pre-employment background check.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.
Responsibilities
- Prepares and cooks nutritious and attractive meals according to recipe directions.
- Keeps the equipment and station neat, clean and organized; adheres to all kitchen sanitation policies and procedures.
- Properly stores food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures.
- Interacts positively with team, staff members, students and guests.
