About The Position
The Industrial Concrete Finisher 1 smooths and finishes poured concrete surfaces, including foundations, duct banks, columns, beams, and other concrete structures. The role assists with pouring concrete, finishing and smoothing fresh concrete, dismantling prefabricated and wooden forms, other construction processes, and housekeeping in work areas. The employee must follow company, site, and safety rules and be able to work the full schedule and additional overtime as needed.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of industrial construction experience working with concrete.
- Journeyman-level knowledge of selecting, mixing, pouring, and finishing concrete.
- Knowledge of materials, tools, and processes involved in basic building techniques and form construction.
- Reliable transportation.
- Able to work the full work schedule and additional overtime as needed.
- Willing to work safely and follow all safety rules and regulations.
- Follow company and site rules and regulations.
- Possess all required tools.
- Meet the physical requirements of the position.
Nice To Haves
- Current Zachry or Zachry ROF’ed employee.
- Former experience working with Zachry Industrial, Inc.
- Formal or technical education.
- Experience working with carpentry, concrete, and rebar.
Responsibilities
- Identify the tools required for assigned tasks.
- Identify safety risks and the precautions needed to eliminate them.
- Assist in pouring concrete structures.
- Assist in finishing and smoothing freshly poured concrete structures.
- Assist in dismantling prefabricated and wooden forms.
- Assist with miscellaneous construction processes.
- Clean and maintain work areas.
