About The Position

Audubon is seeking a Carpenter/Concrete Finisher II to join its team in an offsite office. The role performs skilled carpentry work related to construction, maintenance, and repair, along with other work needed to maintain facilities in safe and efficient condition. The position involves physical labor on construction projects, including layout, interior and cold-form metal framing, gypsum board and rebar installation, door/frame/hardware installation, acoustical ceiling installation, and millwork installation. The role also requires knowledge of construction materials, methods, tools, survey principles, foundation-form and building-framing layout, and selecting and safely using tools and equipment.

Requirements

Three years of experience in the construction industry.
Three years of experience as a craft carpenter.
Ability to obtain site and safety training certifications required for the project.
Knowledge of civil construction and quality assurance practices and procedures.
Knowledge of construction safety practices.
Proven experience as a civil construction carpenter.
In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and HSE guidelines.
Ability to read drawings, plans, and blueprints.
Excellent organizational skills.
Ability to communicate and report effectively.
Ability to read, comprehend, and carry out instructions.
Ability to work in a team environment and independently when required.
Ability to motivate, lead, teach, and train others on proper work and safety procedures.
Ability to think analytically, apply sound judgment, and solve problems.
Must pass pre-employment screening, including background and drug testing.
Must have a valid driver's license and a driving record that meets Company requirements.

Responsibilities

Perform physical labor on construction projects, including layout, interior framing, cold-form metal framing, gypsum board installation, rebar installation, door, frame, and hardware installation, acoustical ceiling installation, millwork installation, and other assigned duties.
Apply knowledge of construction materials, methods, and tools used to build or repair buildings and other structures.
Apply knowledge of survey principles and the layout of foundation forms and building framing.
Use power tools safely, including saws, drills, planes, sanders, routers, and grinders.
Determine the tools and equipment needed to perform a job.
Support Audubon Companies’ Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures.
Perform duties in a manner that protects personal and team health and safety.
Participate in required HSE training, meetings, and reporting activities.
Identify and report hazards, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
Follow safe work practices and applicable regulatory requirements.
