About The Position

Audubon is currently seeking a Carpenter/Concrete Finisher I to join our team in our Offsite Office. The Carpenter/Concrete Finisher I performs skilled carpentry work involved in construction, maintenance, and repair; performs related and other work as required to maintain facilities in a safe and efficient condition.

Requirements

  • Five years' experience in the construction industry.
  • Five years' experience as a craft carpenter.
  • Must be able to obtain site & Safety training certifications required for the project.
  • Civil construction and quality assurance practices and procedures.
  • Construction safety practices.
  • Must be able to obtain site and Safety training certifications required for the project.
  • Proven experience as civil construction carpenter.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and HSE guidelines.
  • Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate and report effectively.
  • Ability to read, comprehend and carry out instructions.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently when required.
  • Ability to motivate, lead, teach and train on proper work and safety procedures.
  • Ability to think analytically, apply sound judgment, and solve problems.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing.
  • Individuals must have a valid driver's license and driving record that meets Company requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Related trade school education is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform tasks involving physical labor on construction projects, including the following: Layout, interior framing, cold form metal framing, gypsum board installation, rebar installation, door, frame, & hardware installation, acoustical ceiling installation, millwork installation, and other assigned duties.
  • Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings and other structures.
  • Knowledge of survey principles.
  • Knowledge of layout of foundations forms and building framing.
  • Safe use of power tools such as saws, drills, planes, sanders, routers and grinders.
  • Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.
  • Performing duties in a manner that protects personal and team health and safety
  • Participating in required HSE training, meetings, and reporting activities
  • Identifying and reporting hazards, near misses, and unsafe conditions
  • Following safe work practices and complying with applicable regulatory requirements
