About The Position

Elemental Electric is hiring a licensed electrician to support and help grow its commercial service division across the Denver Metro and Front Range areas of Colorado. The role responds to service, repair, and small-project requests at offices, retail locations, restaurants, multifamily properties, and light industrial facilities. The electrician troubleshoots commercial systems, provides estimates, completes repairs and upgrades, and develops maintenance agreements and repeat business. The electrician serves as the on-site contact for facility managers, property managers, and business owners, explaining findings, preparing estimates and proposals, and scheduling work to minimize disruption to tenant operations. Customer work is managed through Podium, including scheduling, updates, documentation, approvals, invoicing, and payment collection. The role also identifies additional repair, upgrade, and project opportunities, hands off larger projects to estimating, and helps train apprentices and future service technicians. This is a full-time position with a weekday service schedule and rotating after-hours and on-call coverage. Compensation is $38–$46 per hour, paid weekly, plus on-call pay and performance bonuses. Elemental Electric provides a company service vehicle, tools, and equipment, as well as benefits and career-development support.

Requirements

  • Active Colorado Journeyman Electrician License.
  • At least 4 years of commercial electrical experience, including at least 2 years in service or troubleshooting.
  • Strong diagnostic skills on three-phase systems, motor circuits, and lighting controls.
  • Ability to read plans, one-lines, and panel schedules.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Availability for rotating after-hours and on-call coverage.
  • Valid Colorado driver’s license and clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA 10 or higher.
  • Existing relationships with property managers, facility managers, or commercial building owners.
  • Experience with Podium or similar scheduling, service, and payments software.
  • Experience selling service agreements or small projects.
  • Fire alarm, low-voltage, or controls experience.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to scheduled, emergency, and after-hours commercial service calls.
  • Troubleshoot 120/208V and 277/480V systems, including panels, feeders, motors, controls, and lighting.
  • Repair and replace breakers, disconnects, contactors, lighting and lighting controls, receptacles, and equipment connections.
  • Complete small tenant improvements, equipment hookups, and EV charger installations.
  • Ensure work complies with the NEC and state and local codes and follows lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Serve as the on-site point of contact for facility managers, property managers, and business owners.
  • Explain findings clearly and prepare accurate estimates and proposals.
  • Schedule work around tenant operations to minimize disruption.
  • Manage customer work in Podium, including scheduling, updates, work documentation, approvals, invoicing, and payment collection.
  • Identify repair, upgrade, and project opportunities on service calls and hand off larger work to estimating.
  • Sell preventive maintenance and service agreements.
  • Build lasting relationships with property managers, facility teams, and general contractors.
  • Help train apprentices and future service technicians.
