About The Position

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of an accredited CNA Program.
• Current certification as a CNA in the State of Illinois, active/good standing.
• Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.

Nice To Haves

• One year experience in an acute care hospital setting is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help to warmly welcome families to the ambulatory clinic area.
• Assist with taking and documenting vital signs.
• Documentation of medical information.
• Point of care testing.
• Assist with medical procedures.
• Intra hospital transport.
• Ensure that patients and their families are safe and comfortable.
• Help nursing staff ensure that all medical equipment is stocked and in clean, working condition.
• Ensure that medical waste is disposed of properly.
• Keep rooms neat and tidy.
• Make patient rounds in a timely manner.
