About The Position

This position provides care to assisted-living residents under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), LPN/LVN, or Director of Health & Wellness. The CNA supports residents’ health, daily living, rehabilitation, emotional well-being, and independence while respecting their rights, dignity, and confidentiality. This is a part-time AM position at Lincolnwood Place.

Requirements

• High school diploma or General Education Degree, or one to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Clinical/Nursing area of study.
• At least 1 year of clinical/nursing experience.
• CNA licensure, depending on state requirements and regulations.
• English proficiency sufficient to perform job duties, communicate with supervisors and other employees, and respond to and communicate during emergencies.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely and effectively.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
• Dedicated, compassionate, and energetic personal attributes.

Responsibilities

• Take and record vital signs.
• Measure and record residents’ height, weight, and fluid intake and output.
• Recognize abnormal changes in residents’ body functioning and report them to a supervisor.
• Assist as needed with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living.
• Transfer, position, and turn residents.
• Provide skin care to residents.
• Contribute to residents’ assessments and plans of care.
• Provide nursing rehabilitation and restorative nursing services.
• Follow the schedule of residents’ needs set by the supervisor.
• Provide emotional and social support to residents.
• Promote and protect resident rights, support informed decisions, treat residents with dignity and respect, protect personal belongings, report suspected abuse or neglect, avoid physical restraints in accordance with professional standards, and support independent expression, choice, and decision-making consistent with applicable law and regulation.
• Inform the supervisor of resident issues or concerns.
• Respect and encourage residents’ independence and dignity.
• Respect residents’ confidentiality.
