About The Position

The Certified Nursing Assistant provides resident care in Assisted Living and may be required to work in Skilled Nursing when needed. The role takes a holistic approach to meeting residents’ needs, supporting their daily care, safety, comfort, and engagement in enriching activities. The position is based in a health care and continuing care retirement community (CCRC) environment. Multiple schedules are listed: full-time AM shifts from 6 AM to 2 PM, Tuesday through Saturday or Sunday through Thursday; and a part-time PM shift from 2 PM to 10 PM on Friday and Saturday. The listed pay is $24 to $25.75 per hour.

Requirements

Successfully complete a Certified Nursing Assistant Competency Program.
Hold current CNA certification in the state of California.
Be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Have strong communication skills and the ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
Be able to work in a health care and CCRC environment.
Be reliable and follow safety procedures and duties assigned by a supervisor.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting, and exercising.
Assist residents with transfers, transports, and escorts as needed.
Keep resident rooms safe and orderly, including changing bed linens and making beds.
Assist with meal service in the dining room.
Maintain clean and organized living spaces.
Engage residents in activities that enrich their lives.
Work in Skilled Nursing when needed.
Follow safety procedures and duties assigned by a supervisor.
