About The Position

The Certified Nursing Assistant provides assistance to assisted-living residents with activities of daily living and supports their safety and well-being. The role includes helping residents with grooming and bathing, maintaining their personal environments, transporting them within the community, responding to calls and requests, following resident care plans, and obtaining vital signs.

This is a full-time position with varying days and hours. Available shifts are 6 a.m.–2 p.m., 2 p.m.–10 p.m., or 10 p.m.–6 a.m. Weekends and holidays may be required.

Requirements

• A valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential in the State of Kansas is required.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• All state educational requirements for the position must be met.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification preferred.
• Experience working with an elderly population preferred.
• A calm, helpful, and respectful countenance is appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including grooming and bathing, and help maintain their personal environments.
• Transport residents within the community to activities, other departments, or dining.
• Respond to emergency calls, resident or visitor requests, and environmental hazards in a timely, appropriate, and safe manner.
• Review and adhere to resident care plans.
• Obtain vital signs.
