About The Position

Summit Hills is seeking a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate, resident-centered care in an assisted living environment. The role delivers person-centered care based on residents’ needs and interests while preserving their dignity and quality of life. It includes assisting with activities of daily living, dining, housekeeping, life enrichment activities, scheduled programming, and recording vital signs and weights. The position requires regular participation in in-service training and education programs. No travel is expected, although occasional travel may be required for training, continuing education, emergencies, or other company functions.

Requirements

• State Certification as a Nursing Assistant.
• Certification in CPR, AED, and First Aid.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
• Ability to meet or exceed company attendance and punctuality standards.
• Ability to use electronic records, miscellaneous software, and office equipment.
• Ability to understand and follow directions.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of experience in a similar healthcare position.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, transportation, and transfers.
• Assist residents with dining, including escorting, transferring, taking orders, serving, feeding, meal preparation, and cleanup.
• Assist with housekeeping, including making beds, removing trash, doing laundry, cleaning rooms and bathrooms as needed, and responding to resident requests.
• Lead and assist with life enrichment activities with guidance and support from Life Enrichment Leaders and Supervisors, including activities, craft and game groups, life skills, daily pleasures, and one-on-one interaction.
• Escort residents to scheduled programming and encourage daily participation; may participate in outings or day trips.
• Take and record vital signs and weights as ordered or required by regulations.
• Participate in and attend scheduled in-service training and education programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
