Certified Nursing Assistant PT for Assisted Living
About The Position
Westminster at Lake Ridge is seeking part-time Certified Nursing Assistants for its 27-bed assisted living community in Lake Ridge, Virginia. The position is in the Assisted Living Nursing Unit, with shifts available from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. or 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., including every other weekend. The wage is $18.36 to $22.95 per hour, commensurate with experience, with differentials for evenings, nights, and weekends. The position is primarily responsible for providing residents with general medical and restorative care each day. CNAs interact directly with residents, assist with daily living needs, monitor vital signs, provide comfort and transportation, motivate residents to meet their goals, and document care provided. Westminster at Lake Ridge is a continuing care retirement community offering independent living, assisted living, and a health center. The community has roughly 270 employees and serves more than 400 residents. It is certified as a Great Place to Work, CARF Certified, and Sage certified.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- One to three years of clinical nursing experience.
- Certified Nursing Assistant certificate required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to use common-sense understanding to carry out written and oral instructions.
- High-quality verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of restorative and medical nursing principles and practices.
Responsibilities
- Provide general medical and restorative care to residents daily.
- Interact directly with residents and assist with activities of daily living.
- Monitor residents’ vital signs.
- Provide comfort and transportation to residents.
- Motivate residents to meet their goals.
- Document all care provided to residents.
