About The Position

The Certified Nursing Assistant provides care and support to residents in an assisted living community. The role assists residents with activities of daily living, transports them within the community, responds to emergency calls and requests, follows resident care plans, and obtains vital signs. The position is full-time, with variable days and hours across 6 a.m.–2 p.m., 2–10 p.m., or 10 p.m.–6 a.m. Weekends and holidays may be required.

Requirements

• Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential in the State of Kansas.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet all state educational requirements for the position.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification preferred.
• Experience working with an elderly population preferred.
• A calm, helpful, and respectful countenance is appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including grooming, bathing, and maintaining their personal environment.
• Transport residents within the community to activities, other departments, or dining.
• Respond promptly, appropriately, and safely to emergency calls, resident or visitor requests, and environmental hazards.
• Review and adhere to resident care plans.
• Obtain vital signs.
