About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support certification within 3 months.
• No experience required.
• No licensure required.
• No KSAs required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the delivery of direct patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.
• Provide basic activities of daily living care, such as bathing and feeding, and measure vital signs and intake/output.
• Demonstrate competency in required clinical skills and technologies in accordance with Inova Health System policies and procedures.
• Complete assigned patient duties within the established time frame.
• Apply knowledge of growth and development when caring for the assigned patient population.
• Complete required documentation accurately and reinforce discharge teaching and home care skills.
• Communicate changes in patient status to the Registered Nurse in a timely manner.
• Partner with the Registered Nurse to create a professional development plan to gain the skills necessary to deliver up-to-date patient care.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
