About The Position

The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for daily clinical operational oversight and performance for Thompson Residential programs. Success will be primarily measured through core data points: staff retention/engagement data and program outcomes/quality data. The role requires a trauma-informed approach in daily work and interactions, using principles of CARE: Developmentally Focused, Family Involved, Relationship Based, Competence Centered, Trauma Informed, and Ecologically Oriented. The position involves proactive coaching and feedback to ensure professional development and growth of direct reports, setting programmatic objectives, defining roles, and prioritizing tasks. Effective communication in all directions is essential to ensure program needs are met. Responsibilities include recruiting, interviewing, and selecting staff, conducting thorough performance assessments, and proactively addressing performance issues. Creating an open and trusting environment where teamwork and collaboration are valued is key. The role also ensures compliance with the agency Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) process, meets internal and external clinical standards for records and documentation, coordinates with stakeholders, acts as a role model, and responds to client/parent/guardian complaints.

Requirements

  • Must have valid Driver’s License
  • Meet any credentialing, licensing and privileging standards as it pertains to the program(s) they lead.
  • Master’s and an active clinical licensure in NC.
  • Verified 3 years of work experience as a high performing individual contributor in a related field
  • Exposure to leadership/management experiences either through short term project management, coordination, training or actual leadership positions
  • Displays the capacity/coachability for future growth and development as a leader

Responsibilities

  • Use a trauma-informed approach in daily work and interactions with others using the principles of CARE: Developmentally Focused, Family Involved, Relationship Based, Competence Centered, Trauma Informed, and Ecologically Oriented.
  • Provide proactive coaching and feedback to ensure professional development and growth of direct reports.
  • Set programmatic objectives, define roles, and prioritize tasks for direct reports.
  • Communicate effectively in all directions (up, down, sideways) to ensure program needs are met.
  • Recruit, interview and select top tier talent for program staff.
  • Conduct thorough and well-documented assessments of direct reports performance.
  • Proactively address performance issues and replace team members who consistently fall short of delivering on their objectives.
  • Create an open and trusting environment where teamwork and collaboration is valued.
  • Ensure compliance with the agency Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) process to meet program data and outcome goals.
  • Ensure internal and external clinical standards are met regarding records, documentation, and general services provided.
  • Coordinate and liaison with internal and external stakeholders to represent the program and its needs.
  • Act as a role model across the organization for other staff regarding professionalism, positivity, and teamwork.
  • Respond and address to any client/parent/guardian complaints/concerns.
